Aisha Hinds

Aisha Jamila Hinds is a known American actress best recognized for her roles performed in the television show "True Blood" and The Shield.' Her versatility has been evident throughout her debut on TV in 2003. Her acting performances have been exceptional in shows such as "9-1-1", "Detroit 1-8-7" and "Under the Dome". The first time she was noticed was for the role she played as Anna in the 2005 movie "Assault On Precinct13". It was however her portrayal of women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer, in the biography movie "All the way" that finally brought her recognition as an actress. Hind received praise for portraying Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's drama period show 'Underground'. She currently stars on the procedural drama series '9-1-1' in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta "Hen" Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for a third season.
