Kellie Martin is an American TV and film actress most well-known for her performances in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the period drama series 'Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the family drama 'Life Goes On The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. She is also known for appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin was born to an employee of a department store and the kindergarten teacher. She began acting in the age of seven when her Aunt, who was a nanny in Michael Landon's family, helped Martin find a role as an actor on the television show Father Murphy. When she graduated at Yale University she began to take acting seriously and landed roles on the smaller screen as well as on the big. Martin, besides being an actor, is also a talented photographer and ballet dancer. A mother of two, she's the official spokesperson for Lupus and has been raising awareness about the condition after her sister passed away at just 19.
