Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV personality in the United States as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals straightforward and simple cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell is also a part of many of the best restaurants within New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy, and battled in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell was born within New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. She pursued her love of food and restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful experience for me. I could not study or accomplish enough. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. When she was in Italy the chef developed an appreciation for and understanding of Italian culinary traditions. It made a huge effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of kids facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell makes trips across the country to talk about her love of food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne has, through her whole cooking journey, has said that it's a pleasure to be able to be able to share this love of the food industry with people.
